I want to start taking the generic Phentermine HCl 37.5 mg, where do I start?

Friday, February 26th, 2010

I am under the impression that it is not that dangerous so I don’t think I need a prescription, do I?
Also, is ordering it from online pharmacies safe? I can’t think of anywhere else to get it

Anyone used adipex/phentermine?

Did you know if the tablets or capsules work better? Are generic adipex any good?

What is the difference between phentermine and phentarmine pills?

I am searching for the generic brand of Adipex.

What is an average price for Phentermine (prescription) at Walmart?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Hi. I’m searching for details on possible prices for the weight loss drug Phentermine. This is a prescription drug and I’d only feel safe buying it from an actual pharmacy. Does anyone else buy this drug (generic or brand name) from a pharmacy (mainly from Walmart), and if you do, how much do you pay?

Since most insurances do not cover meds for weight loss, I’m researching how much paying full price for this particular drug may cost me.

Thanks and Happy Answering!

Ashley
Oh, one more thing…if your answer has NOTHING to do with my actual question and isn’t about pricing for Phentermine at all, PLEASE don’t answer. I’m seriously asking a question that I’d like the answer to- not searching for weight loss products. Thank you anyway. I appreciate your time, but I’m searching for a particular answer. :-)

What is the difference between Adipex and Phentermine?

Monday, October 19th, 2009

I’ve been taking Phentermine for a few months.I’ve lost a great deal of weight along with diet and exercise of coarse. The weight loss clinic is always trying to get me to buy Adipex instead of Phentermine. The Adipex is 50 dollars more.I have been doing some research and it seems as if Phentermine is only the generic form of Adipex.Am I wrong? Will Adipex make me lose more weight? Also please don’t tell me to stop taking any weight loss medications. You have better luck making a habitual heroine addict stop using.I am not going to stop taking medication that makes me happy with my body.I would just like to know the difference in the two drugs and if Adipex is the better choice.Thank you :)

Questions about Adipex and Phentermine?

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I have an appointment soon to see a doctor about weight loss – a local doctor that prescribes Adipex/phentermine regularly to patients. Is there a difference between Adipex and the generic phentermine? Will more weight loss result in using one vs the other? How well do they work at controlling appetite? Has anyone had great results using these? I’ve tried Meridia before – years ago from my gyno, when I only had 20 pounds to lose….now I have about 50 to lose. The Meridia was a low dosage pill and I don’t remember it doing anything at all for me and I quit taking it. Several years later at the same Dr. I mentioned diet pills again and he wouldn’t hear of it…….said to try the South Beach diet and that was it. So now I hear of a local Dr. who is into prescribing Phentermine…and I want to give it a try.
llewen – thanks for the info. This local Dr. practices Internal Medicine and doesn’t seem to have a problem prescribing it – when I made the appt they didn’t even ask me why I wanted to see him, so I’m assuming that most of his patients are coming in for this same issue. I just checked with my coworker and he prescribes the generic Phentermine…not the real thing. Hope this doesn’t make a difference in my results and I hope it’s stronger than the Meridia..and if I remember correctly my gyno said there was some controversy over that pill too. Thanks again for the info!

Should I even bother asking my doctor?

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

My son has been prescribed Concerta for his ADHD, and I cannot help but feel jealous because he is getting his treated, and mine never has been treated. My doctor recently prescribed my Provigil for some sleeping problems I have been having. It works really well for that and it has been helping my adhd somewhat, but the problem is the price. I dont have insurance that covers prescriptions and provigil costs at least 5 for 30 days worth of the med. I seriously cannot afford that. Concerts isnt cheap either, but at least there is a generic which is relatively inexpensive. Should I even bother asking my doctor about getting this med as it coulp help me with both the excessive sleepiness and my adhd, or would that just sound like I was drug seeking? My pharmacist says that phentermine is in the same drug class as provigil and it should be helpful as well. I just dont know what to do anymore.
Oh yeah, and can anyone suggest a good wayfor me to get over my nervousness everytime I see a doctor. It gets bad. My blood pressure rises and I feel all shakey. This alone makes it VERY hard to talk let alone ask questions about medications.
For the loser whoe felt the need to tell me what is and isnt safe and appropriate regaurding myself and my son. You dont know me. You dont know what its like not being able to control yourself. Getting yelled at for doing things that you had no idea you were even doin let alone whether or not they were wrong. My son gets kicked out of school on average 3 times per week. For 3 years I have tried alternatives to medications. Nutritional changes, behavioral, therapy, vitamins. you name it we have tried it. So if you say that there is NO ADHD, then can you explain to me why an MRI scan of the brain says that there is? An MRI scan can also diagnose MS. Are you gonna tell me that doesnt exist either? If
I have been formally diagnosed with ADHD, as a child and as an adult, and the only way to get Provigil through the drug company is if you have Narcolepsy. Cephalon does not provide the drug, NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders) is the one who provides it. Thank you for the input though!

Does ANYONE know how to order this anymore???

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Back in October I placed a c.o.d. order for the generic form of adipex known as phentermine. I have tried placing another order for it since it is "past" time, and I cannot find anyone that has it with the c.o.d. option anymore. I find them effective in helping curb my appetite verses the over the counter crap, and since I have been dieting AND exercising, these have helped. Is this one of those things where the ones of us that were’nt "abusing" the stuff are getting punished for the ones that did? Any input will be appreciated…
